Voice of the Mummy, developed by Milton Bradley in 1971, stands as one of the most remarkable board games of its time. Its three-tiered pyramid board, centered around an intricately designed sarcophagus, captivated players with its ability to verbalize mysterious messages upon toggling a switch. Housed within was a compact record player, featuring twenty diverse instructions on each side of the record for an immersive gaming experience. I have fond memories of delving into this eerie world with my family, navigating challenges like the Slimy Snails of Aro, the One-Eyed Giant Mandrill, the Unholy Snakes of Amon, and the ominous Screeching Green Pestilence.

Unfortunately, after more than four decades, my beloved game's record player ceased functioning long ago. Instead of seeking repair services, I devised this iOS application to emulate the random message playback.

Simply toggle the sarcophagus switch to trigger a diverse selection of messages. For additional features such as accessing a secondary set of instructions, tap the "i" icon or press-and-hold to unveil a menu. Users with hearing impairments can now join in on the fun by enabling closed-captioning to read the mummy's instructions displayed on screen.

To relive the enchanting experience of playing Voice of the Mummy with this app, ensure you possess the original board game and all its accessories; this application serves as a functional replacement for a defective record player.
